Hayden Poirier, de SCT, a été désigné « Wood’s Scholar » 2024 par le PPC

We are proud to share that our very own, Hayden Poirier, Mechanical Engineer (Chattanooga), has been named the 2024 Wood’s’ Scholar by the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC).

The Wood’s Scholar Award, named in honor of the late J. Edward Woods, Former Chief Executive Officer of Gulf State Paper Corporation, is an honor given to a “passionate and enthusiastic” member of the folding carton industry. The PPC first awarded recipients in 2021, making Hayden the 4th ever recipient of this prestigious recognition. 

Hayden was nominated by his peers in February of this year and came with a long list of exemplary qualifications. With an eye for improvement and a servant-hearted spirit, Hayden has made a large impact on not only our engineering department but the development of SCT. “Hayden is a key contributor in long-term automation planning. He is helping to develop new automation opportunities that will shape the future of SCT. He is an integral part of the process, providing insight into the technical details of automation planning and integration.” Stated, Jeff Bruce, Engineer Manager (Chattanooga) 

Upon receiving this tremendous honor, Hayden will receive a scholarship to the Folding Carton Boot Camp program, where he can continue to expand his knowledge on the creation of paperboard packaging.
